Former BLEAK Frontman Launches FLAMER
March 30, 2009Former BLEAK vocalist/songwriter Caleb has launched a new band called FLAMER. A new, enhanced version of BLEAK, FLAMER "not only has a new lineup with whom Caleb continues his music but also new songs that show a more metal side to it," reads the group's official bio. "Also, all the older songs such as 'Crossword', 'What You Are', 'Silvertigo' and 'Fate' have been adopted by the band. The familiar 'flamey' logo has given the band its identification, and FLAMER will continue to have the same influence on the fans as before with music that both pierces your eardrums and your heart."
BLEAK announced its decision to break up on February 13. "There are number of reasons for this, but mainly the inner and musical differences within the band," the band said in a statement. "The group has divided throughout the years to a point where we could go no furter with everyone being happy. There was no greater drama involved however and nobody's pointing fingers or anything — eventually this was the only right decision to be made. Of course, we all feel kind of sad 'cause we've shared so many good memories together — but at the same time we are all relieved. Our differences have been a burden for all of us through years of sleepless nights, and now finally we all can breathe freely."
